Never tried this? Well, challenge a friend or spouse to do this with you and begin memorizing the Word of God together!  You can never have TOO much of God's Word stored in your heart.

MAIN EVENT is SATURDAY, APRIL 18th at North Las Vegas Baptist Church

We have some fun surprises for our recitation participants! 

• The first 5 people or groups who sign up for a passage will get a free event T-shirt.* (ONE per group, family, or individual)  *(must participate to receive the prize)
• For extra fun we have selected two random passages. Two participants who select and recite a mystery passage will get a $25 gift card at the event!

 NLVBC has been honored to enjoy an amazing turnout for our Las Vegas ScriptureFest for the past three years.  Even the "mini" event last year turned out to be a well attended and special time! We hope to add new participants from North Las Vegas Baptist Church AND meet some new folks from out of town again this year!

As has been our tradition, for our out-of-own guests who arrive early, we invite you to a fellowship meal and gathering on Friday night, and of course, LOVE IT when you extend your visit to include worshipping with us at NLVBC on Sunday. Locals who volunteer or host are also welcome to join us for the Friday meal.

The book of Esther is an amazing reminder of God's PERFECT timing, and of courage, loyalty and purpose!!

FAQs

What IS a ScriptureFest? 

The Universal Headquarters of ScriptureFest simply states that Scripture Fest (nationwide) is a festival of Scripture!  You can find ScriptureFests all over the country, from coast to coast and each one is a little different but all with the focus on the Word of God.  Believers gather together to proclaim the Word of God and magnify Jesus. Honestly, it is hard to explain. You must join us to really find out! (To see what's happening with other ScriptureFests visit scripturefest.com)

What does “reciting” involve?

First, select a passage from the options below. Next, memorize it, and finally, at our event we will take turns reciting the passages in order in a casual setting. 

What if I forget?

You are more than welcome to have a copy of your passage with you while you recite. 

Do I have to do it all by myself or can I sign up with friends?

You can sign up as an individual or with a friend or family member. In the past we had attendees sign up with their family, class, or with a group of friends. You choose.  Perhaps you can challenge a friend or spouse to do this with you as a new step in your spiritual walk in memorizing the Word of God together!

Can I dress up?

Sure! Some participants may enjoy reciting in character and dressing up as the individuals portrayed in Esther.  

What if all the passages are taken? 

This would be a great problem. We will solve that by adding more.  If registration overflows, then check back soon for the addition of more passages.  

We hope the passages go fast! 

NOTE TO OUT OF TOWN GUESTS -

Accommodations:

We will have limited availability for host homes. Indicate in your registration if you are interested in staying in a host home.

There are quite a few hotels close to our church at 3910 W Washburn Rd as well as many Airbnbs. You will also find many options for dining if you choose to eat out.

GROUPS 

Reciting with a team, class, family, or friend group can be super fun. You can all wear your LVSF T Shirts (available soon) or even dress up as the people from your group passage, or just from the time period of Esther.  There are SO many opportunities with our theme to be in character. 

Registration and Passage Selection 

You will find large sections of scripture for groups or individuals.  You will also find a few smaller selections. IMPORTANT! →→ If all the smaller passages are reserved and you would like a 1 or 2 verse selection, we are happy to edit the selections so that you can participate!  Just reach out and we will make it happen.

• 5-9pm Fellowship and meal for early arrivals from out of town (Locals who volunteer OR host are welcome too!)

Saturday April 18th at NLVBC

• 10:00-11:00 Check-in activities 
• 11:00 Grab a seat! LVSF PROGRAM BEGINS! (worship, recitations and more)
• 1:00 Lunch break at the church
• 2:00 Remaining recitations and worship 
• 4:00 TBA (In progress!)
• 5:00 Themed activities/team competition
• 6:00 Dinner - pizza
• 7:30 Doors close - Head home and get ready for the LORD's DAY! 

A note on food! If you need or prefer to make other arrangements for food you will be glad to know that we are very close to a HUGE assortment of restaurants and fast food options. For example,  Salad To Go is a popular drive thru for a healthy option.
